Professional photographers across the country, accredited by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) and supported by our student and emerging photographers, are donating their time and talent to create a compelling pictorial record of returned servicemen and women for the national archives. With this project AIPP wants to honour our WWII veterans and commemorate 100 years of the ANZAC tradition. This is one of the most ambitious photographic projects ever undertaken in Australia, with well over 10,000 WWII veterans to be photographed. The majority of the photography will occur during April 2015 to coincide with the ANZAC commemoration. After you register as a volunteer photographer, AIPP will be in touch with further information regarding studio locations, photography guidelines and everything else you need to know to get involved in this community service project. WWII veterans will receive a printed portrait photograph, free of charge, for their participation. Register below to be involved.
